Гораций комментирует Еврипида

В статье анализируются принципы, которыми руководствовался Гораций в своих отсылках к греческой драме, и прежде всего к Еврипиду. Основываясь на высказываниях самого поэта в «Ars Poetica», автор доказывает, что, развивая идеи Аристотеля, Гораций воспринимал героев древнегреческой трагедии не столько как персонажей конкретной пьесы, сколько как некоторый обобщенный образ, типичный для драмы в целом. Соответственно, в своих аллюзиях он также не обязательно имеет в виду один определенный текст, но отсылает сразу к нескольким трагедиям, объединенным либо определенным героем, либо схожестью ситуаций, в которых оказываются разные персонажи. Такой подход позволяет объяснить кажущиеся непоследовательности или неточности в отсылках Горация, а также выявить неочевидные цитаты (например, из «Антигоны» Еврипида в Epist. I. 16. 79). Кроме того, такой способ цитирования позволяет Горацию по-своему интерпретировать классические тексты и полемизировать со своими предшественниками в рамках искусной аллюзивной литературной игры.
