Органы федеральной юстиции в греческих союзных государствах эллинистического времени

В эллинистический период в союзных государствах существовала определенная сфера федеральной юрисдикции, в частности уголовное преследование обвиняемых в преступлениях против союза, рассмотрение дел о нарушении федеральных законов и заключенных союзом договоров отдельными лицами и целыми общинами и разрешение споров между полисами–участниками федерации. Несмотря на то что в ряде литературных источников встречаются утверждения относительно наличия в Ахейском и некоторых других союзах отдельного органа, состоящего из федеральных судей, в упоминаниях о конкретных судебных делах следы деятельности подобного федерального суда не прослеживаются. Рассмотрением дел, которые должны были подлежать ведению такого органа, занимались другие инстанции – союзное собрание, федеральный совет, коллегии судей, сформированные специально для рассмотрения того или иного спора, иностранные арбитры. Единственным исключением может быть Союз критян, где функционировал, возможно на постоянной основе, «общий суд».
