Генезис библейского аниконизма: данные археологии и методо- логические аспекты

Представление о том, что Бога нельзя изображать – одна из важных черт библейского монотеизма, оказавшая влияние на религиозные традиции иудаизма, христианства и ислама. Однако данные Библии и библейской археологии не дают однозначного ответа на вопрос о том, когда в древнем Израиле окончательно формируется запрет на любые изображения божества. Тенденции к аниконизму в разные эпохи могли сосуществовать с почитанием культовых изображений. В статье представлен обзор иконографических и письменных источников, в той или иной мере позволяющих реконструировать, какими могли быть те изображения, табу на которые были наложены в Декалоге. Также обозначены методологические проблемы исследования аниконизма.
