Самопрезентация ассирийских элит в глиптике. Часть первая: среднеассирийский период

В статье рассматривается самопрезентация ассирийской элиты в глиптике XIV– XIII вв. до н.э. Иконография зрелой среднеассирийской глиптики обладает рядом уникальных черт; сопоставляя иконографию цилиндрических печатей с данными письменных и археологических источников, можно прояснить некоторые аспекты политической и социальной истории – внешние связи и влияния, роль и эволюцию различных групп внутри элит, а также их идеологию. Каждое изменение в иконографии среднеассирийских печатей было связано с тем или иным политическим событием. Отличия среднеассирийской глиптики от родственной изобразительной традиции – средневавилонской – были связаны с несамостоятельной ролью жречества в Ассирии.
